Why are chapters important?
ONE's chapters are our lifeblood! They help pull through our overall mission at a local level, providing local visibility and activation of key efforts like Pride and volunteering in our communities. Chapters provide a boots-on-the-ground opportunity to expand membership and build awareness of ONE.
What does it take to become a chapter?
Staring up a chapter takes a lot of work and dedication, but it is so rewarding in the end. Each chapter has the flexibility to take shape according to the needs of the local market, but these factors remain constant:​

Schedule a phone call with the Vice-Chairperson on the global Council by sending them an email. After the phone conversation, proceed to complete the steps below.

OBTAIN
buy-in from your supervisor, your Business Council, and your peers

GATHER
potential members from the hotels in your market

DEVELOP
and start building your leadership team
4
ACTIVATE
as a colony (1-yr start-up period) maintaining the above requirements
5
GRADUATE
to a full chapter and be eligible for annual funding
